Contrary to most African cats, cheetahs are active mainly during the day to avoid larger predators such as lions or hyenas. This one is having an early start in the golden morning light and these warm bright saturated colors are the main reason I chose to paint this piece while winter was still raging outside of my studio. Recreating the soft atmospheric perspective and the backlit savannah grass only using shades of browns and yellows was a challenge I very much enjoyed!
Framed and ready to hang.
Created with the finest professional archival materials (Liquitex Professional Heavy Body acrylics on masonite board) and sprayed with acrylic UV varnish to protect the surface and to increase the longevity of the artwork. When choosing the perfect spot to hang your painting, keep in mind that it needs to be away from any heat source, in a place of relatively stable and reasonable humidity and not in direct sunlight. Acrylics paintings are meant to have a long life, with reasonable care yours can be treasured for generations!
Watermarks do not appear on the actual artwork, they are just here to protect Morgane's images which, unfortunately, are frequently stolen or used without permission. Thank you for your understanding.
